Asthma case study
A 44-year-old woman came to seek help for her asthma after trying many medicines from regular doctors. She visited us on 26th March 2021, feeling troubled by constant breathing problems, chest congestion and wheezing for the past 2 years. Along with these issues, she complained about:
- A loose and rattling cough
- Sticky, runny discharge from her nose and a blocked nose
- Dryness in her mouth
- Significant pain in her neck and shoulders
Physically, she eats normally but often feels acidity, burping loudly, and feeling heavy in her stomach. She's usually thirsty and has a dry mouth. Her urine and stools are normal, but she often gets constipated with hard stools. She feels hot but her specific desires weren't mentioned.
In her treatment history, she first tried Ayurvedic treatment for sneezing and a runny nose. Then she started using Deriphyllin and an inhaler about five years ago due to ongoing breathing issues. Currently, her breathing troubles are mainly at night, and she’s been using Deriphyllin and an inhaler since 2017, with her condition getting worse over time.
Mentally, she’s very anxious about her illness, which affects her emotions deeply. Her fear and worry about her health were clear during the consultation.
She was prescribed our medicine on March 26, 2021. A week later, she showed significant improvement, with much improved wheezing.

She was diagnosed with asthma in 2018 but it got worse during the COVID-19 pandemic. It became so bad that she couldn't manage her daily tasks. The patient faced a recurrence of the sensation of mucus in the throat. On examination, inflamed mucosa and thick yellowish nasal discharge were observed.

General condition improved but mild throat pain persisted on the left side, and mucus remained stuck in the throat.
9-8-2021
Her throat pain was gone but she complained of itching in the throat, sneezing++, and nose block.
23-8-2021
The patient again developed wheezing +<during sleep, forcible breathing, postnasal dripping, and loud eructation. An appropriate medicine had been prescribed. .
30-8-2021
The patient was better. No wheezing and eructation.
6-9-2021
No wheezing. Sneezing present. Stools normal. The patient was much better overall. Her quality of life improved.
20-9-2021
No wheezing and postnasal dripping. Nasal blockage off and on with occasional sneezing. The patient continues with the treatment and expresses immense gratitude for the marvelous relief from her dreadful disease. She is now enjoying life.
